The anticipatory bail application is dismissed as withdrawn, with liberty to surrender and seek regular bail within six weeks.
Summary
Petitioner Pappu Das had earlier filed an anticipatory bail application in a criminal case. He later approached the Court seeking to withdraw that application so that he could surrender to the authorities and apply for regular bail. The Court examined the request and granted permission for the withdrawal. The anticipatory bail application was dismissed as withdrawn, with the Court directing that if the petitioner surrenders and files for regular bail within six weeks, the matter will be considered on its merits without prejudice. The order emphasizes that the withdrawal does not preclude a fresh regular bail application within the stipulated period.
