Summary

The appellant, Satyam Kumar, was implicated in a NIA case and sought the High Court's permission to approach the Special Judge, NIA, Patna for a bail petition. The appellant's senior counsel indicated that the bail petition would not be pursued and requested the court to allow the approach without prejudice. The respondents' counsel raised no objection to this request. The Court, after noting the counsel's submission, disposed of the petition on the ground that it was not pressed, expressly stating that the order would not prejudice either party. Consequently, the matter was closed without any substantive adjudication on bail.
