The court granted bail to the petitioner, directing release upon furnishing a bail bond of Rs 10,000 with two sureties.
Summary
Manoj Yadav was arrested in connection with an assault on Dhanwanti Devi, allegedly using an iron rod, resulting in injuries to her palm and finger. He faced charges under Sections 191(2), 190, 126(2), 115(2), 118(2), 109, 351(2), 351(30) and 352 of the B.N.S. The petitioner applied for regular bail, arguing that the injuries were minor, there were no eye‑witnesses, and he has a clean antecedent, having been in judicial custody since 8 December 2025. The State and the informant opposed bail. The High Court, after considering the facts, found the injury simple and noted the petitioner’s clean record, and therefore ordered his release on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs 10,000 with two sureties of equal amount.
