The court modified the earlier order, granting an eight‑week extension for surrender subject to a Rs.5,000 deposit and furnishing of the bail‑bond.

Summary

The petitioners, accused in a criminal appeal arising from PS case No.448 of 2019, filed a petition seeking modification of the order dated 18‑11‑2025 which required them to surrender. They requested an additional eight weeks to surrender and to furnish a bail‑bond, citing reasons for the extension. The High Court considered the petition and the State’s opposition, and decided to grant the requested extension subject to a deposit of Rs.5,000 with the District Legal Services Authority. The deposited amount may be used by the civil court for furniture and beautification of its premises. Consequently, the modification petition was allowed, extending the surrender period by eight weeks under the stipulated conditions.
