Holding
The Court granted regular bail to the petitioner.
Summary
The petitioner, Raju Kumar, was arrested in connection with a murder case (PS Case No. 462/2025) alleging offences under Sections 103(1), 61(2), 3(5) of the B.N.S. and Section 27 of the Arms Act. The prosecution alleged that unknown criminals killed the deceased, while the petitioner claimed innocence and alleged that his name was mentioned only because he was a henchman of a co‑accused who had already been granted bail. The petitioner, who has five prior criminal antecedents and had been in custody since 23‑12‑2025, undertook to cooperate with the investigation. The State opposed regular bail. The Court, after considering the facts and circumstances, allowed the bail application, directing the petitioner to furnish a bail bond of Rs. 10,000 with two sureties of the same amount.
