Decided

BAIL GRANTED

Holding

Bail was granted to the petitioner.

Summary

Manish Choudhary was arrested in connection with the alleged murder of Priyanka Devi, the informant's daughter, under Sections 103(1), 238 and 3(5) of the Bihar Narcotic Substances Act, 2023. The informant claimed that Choudhary, together with co‑accused, killed and concealed the body. Choudhary contended that he was falsely implicated, asserting that Priyanka had an extramarital affair and eloped, and that the accusations were based merely on suspicion. He had been in custody since 12‑04‑2025, with charges framed on 10‑09‑2025. The court, after considering the length of custody and the circumstances, ordered his release on bail upon furnishing a bail bond of Rs 10,000 with two sureties, subject to the satisfaction of the Additional Sessions Judge, Buxar.
