Bail was denied to the petitioner.

Summary

Arvind Rai applied for bail in a case registered under sections 302 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and section 27 of the Arms Act, alleging that he shot the deceased Bhola Kumar. The prosecution contended that Rai was one of the shooters and highlighted that he is already implicated in six other criminal matters and has been in custody since 18 November 2025. The court examined the seriousness of the charges, the presence of a specific allegation of firing, and the petitioner’s prior criminal history. Considering these factors, the court found no sufficient ground to grant bail. Consequently, the bail application was rejected.
