The Court granted bail to the petitioner upon furnishing a bond of Rs 10,000 with two sureties.

Summary

The petitioner, Bidul Kumar, was arrested in connection with a police case (P.S. Case No. 28 of 2025) alleging that miscreants gathered in a white Bolero, fired at police and injured a constable. He was charged under several sections of the B.N.S and the Arms Act, including offences relating to murder, conspiracy and illegal possession of arms. The petitioner contended that he was falsely implicated, his name does not appear in the FIR, no weapon or contraband was recovered from him, and the only reference to him is a self‑confessional statement made during investigation; he also has no prior criminal record and has been in judicial custody since 14‑02‑2025. The State opposed bail, citing the seriousness of the charges. After hearing both sides, the Court held that the petitioner is entitled to bail, directing him to furnish a bail bond of Rs 10,000 with two sureties to the satisfaction of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate‑IV, Patna.
