The court modified the anticipatory bail order, extending the surrender period by three weeks subject to a deposit of Rs 3000.

Summary

The petitioner, Ritesh Kumar, filed an application seeking modification of an anticipatory bail order dated 07-08-2025 to extend the period within which he must surrender to the police. The High Court considered the request and, noting the petitioner’s reasons, extended the surrender period by three weeks from the receipt of the order. The extension was conditioned upon the petitioner depositing Rs 3,000 in the account of the concerned District Legal Services Authority. The court thereby modified the earlier order and disposed of the modification application. No other substantive legal issues were raised.
