The court extended the surrender period by eight weeks, subject to a Rs.5,000 deposit by each petitioner with the District Legal Services Authority.

Summary

The petitioners, Uday Kumar Ray and Mahesh Kumar, filed a petition seeking modification of an earlier order dated 24-07-2025 that set a deadline for their surrender and furnishing of bail-bond. The High Court considered the reasons presented and granted an additional eight weeks for surrender, conditioned upon each petitioner depositing Rs.5,000 with the District Legal Services Authority and furnishing the receipt along with the bail-bond. The deposited amount may be used for purchase of furniture and beautification of the court premises. The court modified the earlier order accordingly and allowed the petition.
