The application for regular bail is allowed.

Summary

Arjun Paswan, the father of the main accused Raja Paswan, was arrested in connection with a kidnapping case (Pator P.S. Case No. 104 of 2025) under Sections 137(2), 96 and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. He had been in custody since 12 December 2025 and claimed innocence, asserting that the victim girl had been recovered and that the principal accused had already been released on bail. The petitioner’s counsel argued for regular bail, while the State’s counsel opposed it. The Court examined the circumstances, including the recovery of the victim and the bail granted to the main accused, and decided to grant regular bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the petitioner was released on a bail bond of Rs 10,000 with two sureties of the same amount.
