Patna High Court

Decided
Disposal
BAIL GRANTED

Holding

The petitioner is entitled to bail and is released upon furnishing the prescribed bond and sureties.

Summary

The petitioner, Avanish Anand (also known as Abhay Paswan), was charged in PS Sitamarhi Case No. 545 of 2024. His earlier regular bail petition was rejected by the Patna High Court on 12 May 2025, with the court directing that he could renew the bail application after six months. The six‑month period having elapsed, the petitioner filed a fresh bail petition, which was opposed by the State. The court considered the elapsed period, the petitioner’s willingness to cooperate, and the conditions imposed for bail. It ordered that the petitioner be released on bail upon furnishing a cash bond of Rs.10,000 and two sureties of the same amount, subject to his cooperation and appearance at all trial dates. The order was pronounced by Hon’ble Justice Nawneet Kumar Pandey.
