The Court allowed the modification petition, extending the surrender period by eight weeks subject to a Rs 5,000 deposit with the District Legal Services Authority.

Summary

Avinash Kumar filed an application seeking modification of an earlier order dated 03‑12‑2025 that had extended the time allowed for him to surrender. The petitioner argued for a further extension, citing reasons recorded in the petition. The Court examined the petitioner's reasons and, finding them satisfactory, granted an additional eight‑week period for surrender. The extension was conditioned upon the petitioner depositing Rs 5,000 with the District Legal Services Authority and furnishing the receipt along with the bail bond. Consequently, the earlier order was modified, and the petition for modification was allowed.
