The court allowed an extension of time, directing the petitioners to surrender within two weeks of the order.
Summary
The petitioners, Bachhhi Devi and another, sought an extension of time to furnish a bail bond after being granted anticipatory bail, as they could not surrender within the period stipulated in the earlier order dated 06.01.2026. The issue before the court was whether the court could permit an extension of the surrender deadline. The court, after considering the petitioners' submission, directed that they must surrender before the concerned court within two weeks, i.e., on or before 25.03.2026. This direction was made as part of the earlier order granting anticipatory bail. Consequently, the petition for extension was disposed of, with the condition that surrender be effected within the stipulated time.
