Summary
The petitioner, Rahul Kumar, was granted anticipatory bail by the Patna High Court with a condition to surrender within four weeks. He was unable to surrender within the stipulated period and filed a petition seeking an additional four‑week extension. The court examined the petition and, relying on its earlier order, considered whether the surrender deadline could be further modified. It held that the period could be extended, subject to a nominal payment to the Legal Services Committee. Consequently, the petition was allowed and the surrender deadline was extended by another four weeks from the date of the order.
