The court granted regular bail to the petitioner.
Summary
The petitioner, Md. Chand Alam, was arrested in connection with a rifle recovered from him and charged under Sections 25(1‑B)a, 26(2) and 35 of the Arms Act. He claimed innocence, asserted that he had been falsely implicated, and noted that he had two prior criminal antecedents and had been in custody since 15‑11‑2025. The prosecution opposed his request for regular bail. The High Court, after considering the facts and circumstances, allowed the bail application, directing the petitioner to furnish a bail bond of Rs.10,000 with two sureties and to appear at the Alauli Police Station every Sunday, with non‑appearance leading to cancellation of bail. The order was pronounced by Justice Sandeep Kumar.
