BAIL GRANTED

Holding

The court granted regular bail to the petitioner.

Summary

Ramawati Devi was arrested in connection with a murder case (Majhauliya P.S. Case No. 04/2026) and charged under Sections 103(1), 238 and 61(2) of the B.N.S. The petitioner, a woman, claimed she was falsely implicated and had only one prior criminal antecedent, having been in custody since 03‑01‑2026. She pledged to cooperate with the investigation. The State opposed her request for regular bail. Considering the submissions and the fact that the petitioner is a woman, the High Court allowed her bail application, directing that she be released on a bail bond of Rs.10,000 with two sureties of the same amount, subject to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bettiah.
