The court allowed the petitioner's application for regular bail.
Summary
Ritesh Patel, the brother of the deceased, was arrested in connection with an assault case (Baruraj P.S. Case No. 102 of 2025) involving multiple offences under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. The prosecution alleged that Patel and others attacked the deceased with a knife, while the petitioner claimed innocence and argued that the injuries were caused by a hard, blunt object. He had been in custody since 15 June 2025. The State opposed his bail application. The court, noting the nature of the injuries and the circumstances, granted regular bail, directing the petitioner to furnish a bail bond of Rs. 10,000 with two sureties of the same amount.
