Summary

The petitioner, Rajendra Prasad Thakur, was arrested in connection with a case registered under multiple sections of the Bihar Penal Code for allegedly assaulting a victim. He had been in custody since 18 January 2026 and applied for bail. The petitioner’s counsel argued his innocence and the undue length of his detention, while the State opposed the bail.
