Decided

DISMISSED

Holding

The court denied regular bail to the petitioner.

Summary

The petitioner, Sanny Kumar, applied for regular bail in a case registered under Section 309(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, relating to a loot incident. The petitioner was implicated based on self‑inculpatory statements of co‑accused and the recovery of cash, a mobile phone and a tablet. He has been in custody since 26‑12‑2025 and possesses four prior criminal antecedents, leading the court to consider the allegations serious and grave. The court held that prima facie material exists indicating his involvement and, given the seriousness and his antecedents, it was not inclined to grant bail. Consequently, the application for regular bail was rejected, with the court noting that its observations are limited to the bail application and do not prejudice the trial.
