DISMISSED

Holding

The bail application was dismissed.

Summary

The petitioner, Dhiru Yadav, was charged with multiple offences under the Indian Penal Code, the Arms Act, the CLA Act and the UAP Act for allegedly stopping and setting fire to trucks at the Sao Kala Toll Plaza. He has been in custody since 26 May 2025 and claims he has been falsely implicated despite having 18 prior criminal antecedents of a similar nature. The State contended that he is an absconder in a 2011 case and highlighted his criminal history. The petitioner applied for bail, arguing false implication, while the prosecution emphasized the seriousness of the charges and his prior record. The High Court, after hearing both sides, was not inclined to grant bail and dismissed the application.
