Decided
Disposal
BAIL GRANTED

Holding

Bail was granted to the petitioner.

Summary

The petitioner Sunil Yadav was arrested after police recovered 19.200 liters of illicit Nepali-made liquor from his residence. He was charged under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act and has been in custody since 27 December 2025. The petitioner contended that he was falsely implicated and pleaded innocence, seeking bail. The State opposed the bail on grounds of the seriousness of the offence. Considering the facts, nature of the accusation and the period of custody, the Court allowed bail, directing release on a bond of Rs.10,000 with two sureties. The bail application was therefore granted.
