Holding

The High Court disposed of the bail application, directing that the petitioner may seek bail after the charge‑sheet is filed as per the lower court’s observation.

Summary

The petitioner, Md. Fantu @ Aryan Singh, was arrested on 28 January 2026 in connection with a case registered under multiple sections of the BNS, alleging that he attempted to sexually abuse women employees and tried to take them to Nepal for further abuse. He applied for bail before the Patna High Court, contending that he was entitled to release pending the filing of the charge‑sheet. The High Court noted that the lower court had observed that the petitioner could renew his bail prayer after the charge‑sheet was submitted. Consequently, the High Court declined to pass any substantive order on the bail application at this stage. The application was therefore disposed of, with liberty granted to the petitioner to approach the lower court again after the charge‑sheet is filed.
