Regular bail was denied to the petitioner.
Summary
The petitioner, Darbhangi Sahni, was arrested in connection with a dacoity case (PS Case No. 157 of 2025) and charged under Section 310(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. The co‑accused’s self‑inculpatory statement and the recovery of looted money and jewellery from the petitioner’s possession linked him to the crime. He has been in custody since 11 May 2025 and applied for regular bail. The court examined the seriousness of the offence, the evidence implicating the petitioner, and the risk of tampering with evidence or influencing witnesses. Considering these factors, the court declined to grant regular bail and dismissed the bail application.
