Sanni KumarversusThe State of Bihar

Decided
Disposal
BAIL GRANTED

Holding

The court granted bail to the petitioner.

Summary

Sanni Kumar was arrested for alleged participation in online gambling games and charged under several provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and the Information Technology Act. He contended that he was falsely implicated, that no complaint of cheating existed, and pointed to the bail granted to co‑accused in related matters. The State opposed his bail application. After considering the facts, the court noted the petitioner had been in custody since 31‑10‑2025 and that the charge‑sheet had been filed. The court ordered his release on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000 with two sureties, satisfying the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Madhubani. The bail petition was therefore disposed in the petitioner’s favour.
