Patna High Court

Rohit Kumar Sada @ RohitversusThe State of Bihar

Decided
Disposal
BAIL GRANTED

Holding

Bail was granted to the petitioner subject to a bond of Rs.10,000 and two sureties.

Summary

The petitioner, Rohit Kumar Sada, was arrested on 26 October 2025 in connection with a case registered under Sections 363, 366 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code for allegedly abducting a girl. He applied for bail, claiming innocence and asserting that the victim's statement indicated a consensual relationship. The State opposed the bail application, arguing the seriousness of the alleged offences. The Court examined the facts, the nature of the charges, and the submissions of counsel, and decided to grant bail on the condition of a Rs.10,000 bond with two sureties of equal amount. The order expressly limited its effect to the bail application and did not prejudice the merits of the trial.
