Decided
Disposal
BAIL GRANTED

Holding

The Court granted bail to the petitioner subject to a bond of Rs.10,000 and two sureties.

Summary

The petitioner, Rajendra Kumar, was arrested on 22‑12‑2025 in connection with a case registered under Sections 317(5), 318(4), 338, 336(3) and 340(2) of the BNS for allegedly driving a motorcycle with a tampered registration plate. He applied for bail, claiming innocence and stating that he was not found on the seized motorcycle and that the seizure list was not lawfully prepared. The State opposed the bail application. After hearing both sides, the Court allowed the bail application, directing the petitioner to furnish a bail bond of Rs.10,000 with two sureties of the same amount. The Court clarified that its order is limited to the bail matter and does not prejudice the merits of the trial.
