BAIL GRANTED

Holding

The court granted bail to the petitioner.

Summary

Amod Singh was arrested on 8 January 2026 in connection with a case registered under multiple sections of the BNS, 2023, alleging assault with lathi and danda. The petitioner claimed he was falsely implicated and that there was a case and counter‑case between the parties. He applied for bail, arguing innocence and the length of his custody. The High Court, after hearing both sides, considered the nature of the allegations and the period of detention and decided to grant bail. The court ordered his release on a bail bond of Rs.10,000 with two sureties, clarifying that the order was limited to the bail application and did not prejudice the trial.
