The Court granted an extension of time for surrender, directing the petitioner to appear within three weeks with the bail bond.

Summary

Petitioner Aman Vishwakarma filed a modification petition seeking an extension of time to surrender after being granted bail in Criminal Miscellaneous No.50866 of 2024. He argued that his employment outside Bihar and overbooked travel tickets prevented him from returning within the originally stipulated period to furnish the bail bond. The Court examined the reasons presented by counsel and considered the procedural requirement of surrendering with a bail bond. It directed the petitioner to surrender within three weeks, by 24 April 2026, on furnishing the bail bond, thereby extending the surrender deadline. The order was made part of the earlier bail order and the modification petition was disposed.
