Holding

The court held that the criminal antecedents should be corrected to “Panapur P.S.” and the bail bonds should be accepted.

Summary

The petitioner, Rahul Nut, filed an application on 24‑04‑2026 seeking modification of the order dated 16‑03‑2026 in Criminal Miscellaneous No. 17413 of 2026. The petitioner contended that the criminal antecedents recorded as “Masharkh P.S.” cases were erroneous and should be corrected to “Panapur P.S.” cases (Nos. 135/24 and 330/24 under the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act). The court examined the request and, finding no substantive objection, allowed the modification, directing that the antecedents be read as “Panapur P.S.” and that the lower court accept the bail bonds filed by the petitioner. Consequently, the petitioner’s bail was effectively secured following the correction of the record. The order was pronounced by Justice Sandeep Kumar.
