Kishun Ram @ Bandu Ram @ Kishan Ram @ Kishuni RamversusThe State of Bihar

Decided
Disposal
BAIL GRANTED

Holding

The court exercised its discretion to grant bail to the petitioner, subject to a bond of Rs. 10,000 and two sureties of equal amount.

Summary

The petitioner, Kishun Ram, was arrested on 13 November 2025 in connection with Pusa Police Station Case No. 131 of 2025, charged under Sections 126(2), 115(2), 109(1) and 3(5) of the Bihar Negotiable Substances Act, 2023 for allegedly assaulting a victim. The petitioner claimed innocence and alleged false implication, and his counsel applied for bail. The High Court, after hearing both sides, granted bail, directing the petitioner to furnish a bail bond of Rs. 10,000 with two sureties of the same amount. The order expressly limited its effect to the bail application and did not prejudice the merits of the trial. Consequently, the petitioner was released on bail pending further trial proceedings.
