The court held that bail could not be granted to the petitioner given the gravity of the offences.

Summary

Shaurabh Kumar Yadav was arrested in connection with a dowry‑related homicide case (PS Case No. 134/2025) and sought regular bail. The prosecution alleged that he, as the husband of the deceased, was the main accused for killing her to demand dowry, charging him under Sections 85, 80, 238 and 3(5) of the B.N.S. and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. The petitioner contended that he was falsely implicated, had no prior criminal record, and had been in custody since 14‑May‑2025, offering to cooperate with the trial. The State opposed bail, emphasizing his role as the principal accused. Considering the seriousness of the offences, the court declined to grant bail and dismissed the application.

                                     5. Learned APP for the State has opposed the prayer

for regular bail of the petitioner on the ground that petitioner is

allegation on him of killing the deceased.
