Lalit Kumar Kamat was charged under multiple IPC sections and Section 27 of the Arms Act for allegedly firing at an informant. The FIR was lodged on 18 May 2024 for an incident that occurred on 14 April 2024, indicating an unexplained delay. The petitioner sought bail, arguing that the bullet did not cause any injury. The State opposed bail, but the court noted the delay in filing the FIR and the absence of injury as mitigating factors.
