DISMISSED

Holding

The court denied bail, holding that no fresh ground existed to justify its grant.

Summary

Mahendra Marandi was charged with murder, robbery, dacoity, attempt to murder, criminal intimidation and offences under the SC/ST Act. He applied for regular bail after the chargesheet was taken, marking his third bail attempt. The petitioner claimed innocence, no prior criminal record, and had been in custody since May 2024. The prosecution opposed bail, emphasizing the seriousness of the offences. The court observed that all witnesses had already been examined and no new grounds for bail existed, and therefore dismissed the bail application.
