Decided
Disposal
DISMISSED

Holding

The application for quashing the FIR was dismissed as the court was not inclined to entertain the prayer after the charge-sheet was filed.

Summary

The petitioners, Md. Nasim Ansari and others, filed a petition in the Patna High Court seeking quash of the FIR registered against them in a criminal case. They argued that the FIR should be set aside, but the investigating agency had already filed a charge-sheet and concluded the investigation. The court noted that once a charge-sheet is filed, the scope for quashing the FIR is limited. Considering the facts and the stage of the proceedings, the court was not inclined to entertain the petition. Consequently, the application for quashing the FIR was dismissed.
