The typographical error in the anticipatory bail order is corrected, and the correction is deemed part of the original order.

Summary

The petitioner, Mayank Mohan, filed a modification petition seeking correction of a typographical error in paragraph 6 of the anticipatory bail order dated 12 January 2026, where the case number was incorrectly stated as Kanti P.S. Case No. 990 of 2024 instead of the correct Kanti P.S. Case No. 462 of 2017. The High Court examined the petition and agreed that the error needed rectification. It ordered that the erroneous reference be read as the correct case number and that this correction be treated as part of the original order. The court also extended the petitioner’s surrender deadline by two weeks, maintaining all other conditions of the anticipatory bail. The modification application was consequently disposed of.
