The bail application was dismissed; the petitioner is not entitled to regular bail.
Summary
The petitioner, Golu Kumar, was charged with double murder under Sections 61(2), 103(1), 3(5) of the Bihar Narcotic Substances Act and Sections 25(1‑B)a, 26, 35 and 27 of the Arms Act. He applied for regular bail, having been in custody since 13 October 2025. The prosecution alleged that he and a co‑accused lured the two victims into a car, opened fire and killed them. The court examined the seriousness of the offences and the evidence indicating the petitioner’s direct involvement in the killings. Finding the gravity of the crime and the risk to public order, the court declined to grant bail and dismissed the application, while noting that the order was limited to the bail question and did not prejudice the trial.
