BAIL GRANTED

Holding

The court granted bail to the petitioner subject to a bond and specified conditions.

Summary

Petitioner Prasad Ram was arrested on 26‑12‑2025 in connection with FIR dated 24‑12‑2025 alleging assault during a land‑measurement dispute, charging him under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, 2023. The prosecution alleged that the petitioner and his associates assaulted the informant’s brother and family members. The petitioner contended that he has a clean antecedent, the allegations are false, a title suit is pending, and a co‑accused has already been granted bail. The Additional Public Prosecutor opposed bail. Considering the petitioner’s clean record, the bail granted to the co‑accused, and the circumstances, the court ordered bail on a bond of Rs.10,000 with two sureties and imposed conditions regarding cooperation, non‑tampering with evidence, and verification of antecedents.
