Holding
The court granted bail to the petitioner subject to specified monetary and attendance conditions.
Summary
The petitioner, Bipin Singh, was arrested in connection with the recovery of 81 litres of illicit liquor under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018. He applied for bail, claiming innocence and offering to donate Rs. 25,000 to a charitable organization without admitting guilt. The State opposed the bail. The High Court considered the facts, the petitioner's custody since 28‑02‑2026, and his willingness to provide sureties and a charitable donation. The Court granted bail on the condition of a Rs.10,000 bond with two sureties, a Rs.25,000 deposit to Ramakrishna Math, and mandatory monthly police station attendance. The order is limited to the bail application and does not prejudice the merits of the trial.
