Decided
Disposal
BAIL GRANTED

Holding

Bail was granted to the petitioner with specified monetary and attendance conditions.

Summary

The petitioner, Raju Yadav, was arrested in connection with a case registered under multiple sections of the Bihar Penal Code for allegedly assaulting a victim. He had been in custody since January 24, 2026 and claimed innocence, offering to compensate the victim for medical expenses. The petitioner’s counsel argued that he was falsely implicated and sought bail. The court considered the application and, without addressing the merits of the criminal allegations, granted bail on the condition of a Rs.10,000 bond with two sureties and a Rs.50,000 demand draft payable to the victim. Additional conditions included the petitioner’s attendance at the police station on the first and third Sundays of each month, with non‑compliance leading to bail cancellation.
