Holding

The court denied anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Summary

The petitioner, Sakaldeo Yadav, applied for anticipatory bail fearing arrest in a case involving multiple offences under the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act. The FIR dated 11.03.2024 alleges that he, along with co‑accused, attacked an informant and his family with lathis and an iron rod, causing severe injuries and robbery at gunpoint. The petitioner contended that he is innocent, has clean antecedents, and was falsely implicated due to personal enmity. The State opposed the bail, highlighting the petitioner’s specific inclusion in the FIR and the seriousness of the charges, including grievous injuries and armed robbery. Considering the direct nature of the accusations and the gravity of the offences, the court rejected the anticipatory bail application.
