Anticipatory bail was granted to the petitioner.

Summary

The petitioner, Md. Abuzar Khan, sought anticipatory bail fearing arrest in a case (Amour P.S. Case No. 294 of 2025) involving offences under several sections of the Bihar Non‑Specific Statutes (BNSS), 2023. The prosecution alleged a land‑irrigation dispute that led to assault with spades and lathis and alleged snatching of valuables. The petitioner contended he was innocent, that no specific allegation of an overt act was made against him, and that the injuries were simple. The State opposed the bail application. The High Court, after considering the facts, allowed the anticipatory bail, directing the petitioner to furnish a bail bond of Rs.10,000 with two sureties, subject to conditions under Section 482(2) of the BNSS.
