The court granted regular bail to the petitioner.
Summary
The petitioner, Md. Imran Alam, was charged under Section 103(1) of the B.N.S. for allegedly assaulting an informant’s husband, leading to the victim’s death. He applied for regular bail, claiming innocence, lack of weapon, and that the post‑mortem report showed only minor abrasions with no definitive cause of death, while also noting a clean criminal record. The State opposed the bail, emphasizing the seriousness of the offence. The court examined the evidence, the inconclusive forensic report, and the petitioner’s antecedents, and decided to grant bail on condition of a Rs.10,000 bond with two sureties. The application for bail was therefore allowed.
