The Court held that the criminal revision may be restored despite the earlier dismissal, provided the petitioner complies with the stipulated cost.

Summary

The petitioner, Pramendra Kumar Singh, filed an application before the Patna High Court seeking restoration of Criminal Revision No. 408 of 2024, which had been dismissed for failure to comply with a peremptory order dated 10‑02‑2026. The petitioner explained the omission and pleaded for relief. The Court, after hearing counsel, was satisfied with the reasons provided and ordered that the revision be restored to its original file. The restoration was conditioned upon the petitioner depositing a cost of Rs 1,000 with the High Court Legal Services Committee within four weeks.
