The court granted regular bail to the petitioner.

Summary

The petitioner, Chandeshwar, was arrested in connection with the seizure of 45 litres of illicit country-made liquor behind his house, alleged to be an offence under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act. He claimed innocence, stating that no liquor was found in his possession and that the police seizure violated Section 105 of the B.N.S.S. He also highlighted his clean criminal record and that he had been in judicial custody since 15 March 2026. The State opposed his regular bail application. After hearing both sides, the Patna High Court granted regular bail, directing the petitioner to furnish a bail bond of Rs.10,000 with two sureties, subject to the satisfaction of the Special Excise Judge.
