BAIL GRANTED

Holding

Bail was granted to the petitioner subject to the conditions specified under Section 480(3) of the B.N.S.S.

Summary

The petitioner, Rampravesh Paswan, applied for bail in a case registered under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act for allegedly storing and manufacturing country-made liquor. The prosecution alleged that a raid recovered 120 litres of illicit liquor and related equipment, and that the petitioner escaped with co‑accused during the raid. The petitioner contended he was falsely implicated, no incriminating material was found on him, and he was not apprehended at the scene. The court noted the absence of any recovery from the petitioner and that he was not caught in the act. Accordingly, the court ordered his release on bail with a bond of Rs.10,000 and two sureties, subject to conditions under Section 480(3) of the B.N.S.S. and additional specific requirements.
