The petitioner is entitled to regular bail in the present case.
Summary
Balram Mahto was arrested in connection with an assault case (PS Case No. 502 of 2025) alleging assault on an informant and tearing her blouse, with charges under sections 126(2), 115(2), 110, 76, 303(2), 352 and 3(5) of the Bihar Penal Code. The petitioner sought regular bail, claiming innocence, no prior criminal record, and that the informant's injuries were minor. The State opposed bail, arguing the seriousness of the offences. The court examined the injury report, the lack of antecedents, and the fact that the petitioner had been in judicial custody since 11 March 2026. Finding the circumstances favorable, the court granted regular bail on a bond of Rs.10,000 with two sureties.
