The petition was dismissed after the petitioner withdrew it, with liberty granted to seek bail.
Summary
Ravindra Rai filed a criminal miscellaneous petition fearing arrest in connection with a 2018 case involving alleged forgery, fraud, criminal conspiracy and violations of the Arms Act. The petition sought liberty to prevent his arrest while he arranged for bail. After hearing, the petitioner’s counsel requested withdrawal of the petition to pursue bail. The Court granted the liberty sought and dismissed the pending petition upon its withdrawal. Consequently, the matter was closed, allowing the petitioner to seek bail through the regular criminal procedure.
