The court held that bail could not be granted and dismissed the application.
Summary
The petitioner, Pinku Pandey, applied for regular bail in a case registered under Sections 25(1‑B)(i), 26 and 35 of the Arms Act, where a country‑made pistol was recovered from his possession. He has been in custody since 3 April 2025 and faces nine other similar serious cases. The petitioner’s counsel argued that only two of five trial witnesses had been examined. The court considered the seriousness of the offences and the multiple pending cases. Concluding that bail was not appropriate under the circumstances, the court dismissed the bail application.
