The Court modified the anticipatory bail order, granting the petitioner an additional four weeks to surrender and submit bail bonds.

Summary

The petitioner, Deepak Kumar Singh, was granted anticipatory bail on 12 May 2025 with a condition to surrender within eight weeks and submit bail bonds. He was unable to comply within the stipulated period because he was a labourer working away from his residence. The petitioner filed a modification application seeking an additional four weeks to surrender and furnish the bail bonds. The Court examined the request and, considering the petitioner’s circumstances, granted the extension. Consequently, the order dated 12 May 2025 was modified to allow an extra four weeks for surrender. The petition was thereafter disposed.
